Gbarnga, Bong County – Representative James M. Kolleh, Chairman on Rules, Order and Administration at the House of Representatives, is facing mounting criticism from within his own camp as aggrieved supporters accuse him of abandoning promises made during the 2023 legislative elections.
One of the most outspoken critics, Bryant Borris, former president of St. Peter’s Episcopal High School in Gbarnga, expressed deep disappointment in Kolleh’s performance, branding him a “total failure” for Bong County District #2.
According to Borris, during the 2023 campaign, Kolleh pledged to sponsor the education of high school leaders at the university level and support various school projects across Gbarnga. However, nearly two years later, those commitments remain unfulfilled.
> “Hon. Kolleh told us as high school presidents to support his candidacy because he would help further our education. But since his election, those promises have become fruitless. Even at the district level, there are no tangible handprints of Rep. Kolleh,” Borris said.
He further alleged that Kolleh assured presidents of 23 high schools in Gbarnga of assistance to complete their institutional projects, a promise he says has left him embarrassed before his students and administrators.
Adding to the grievances, Borris recounted that his motorbike—used to transport voters on election day—was damaged, with Kolleh promising to repair it, a commitment yet to be honored.
The discontent, according to Borris, goes beyond personal frustration and reflects a broader sentiment among constituents who believe their representative has failed to deliver meaningful development in the district.
Borris has since called on citizens of District #2 to reject Kolleh’s re-election bid in 2029 if immediate steps are not taken to fulfill his campaign pledges.
This platform is still making efforts to contact Representative James M. Kolleh for a response to the allegations, but all attempts so far have been unsuccessful.
