Ambassador Yin also outlined plans for the 2026 China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges, an initiative aimed at deepening cultural, educational, and technical cooperation between China and African countries.
According to the ambassador, China remains committed to expanding practical exchanges and development cooperation with Liberia, particularly through collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works. He emphasized that strengthening such partnerships will further deepen the bilateral strategic partnership between the two nations.
For his part, Minister Giddings expressed appreciation for China’s longstanding support toward Liberia’s development efforts. He noted that Chinese assistance has played a significant role in several infrastructure and capacity-building initiatives across the country.
The Public Works Minister also expressed Liberia’s willingness to expand cooperation with China in key areas such as public infrastructure development, technical training, and institutional capacity building, aligning with the government’s broader national development agenda.
China has been one of Liberia’s key development partners, supporting projects ranging from roads and public facilities to technical assistance programs. The latest engagement between Ambassador Yin and Minister Giddings underscores both countries’ intention to strengthen bilateral ties and promote sustainable infrastructure development in Liberia.
