Monrovia, Liberia—In an radio interview on Monday, the Acting Director General of the National Fisheries & Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA), Hon. J. Cyrus Saygbe Sr. lashed at the former Commissioner of the Liberia Maritime, Hon. Eugene Nagbe and called him unserious.
Hon. Saygbe termed Hon. Eugene Nagbe as not being serious for his political ups and downs, which he said that Hon. Ngbah once castigated the CDC and former president Weah while in the United Party. He alleged that due to Honorable Ngbah inability to be in opposition after the Unity Party 12 years regimen in 2017, that is how he went to the CDC and now criticizing the Unity Party he once sang glory for.
The Acting NaFAA Boss response comes months after Hon. Nagbe asked Hon. J Cyrus Saygbe to give credit to former NaFAA Boss, Madam Emma Glasso for projects that were exiuated under her watch as Director General of the National Fisheries & Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA).
He disclosed that the former Commissioner of the Liberia Maritime and campaign manager for the CDC in the 2023 election was the caused for CDC to lost the election. "When we heard that Eugene was even named as campaign manager, in the UP we celebrated because we knew that he was going to be the cause for the CDC defeat," Hon. Saygbe emphasized. "No serious person as a campaign manager will come on air and tell you if my government win, no opposition will work in my government," the Director General of NaFAA blasted at Hon. Eugene Nagbe.
Furthermore, the National Fisheries & Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) Director General, Hon. J. Cyrus Saygbe expressed that government is continuative, adding that no serious government officials will personalize government projects.
At the same time, Hon. Saygbe stated that the during the term of former NaFAA Boss, Madam Emma Metieh Glassco, the working environment at the National Fisheries & Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) was very toxic; as such, stewart were dismissed for not calling Madman Glassco as honorable or either give her a standing ovation while she walked in her office.
The Acting NaFAA Boss noted that he has introduced a cordial working environment at the entity, where staff are no longer under obligation to call the DG as "honorable" or do other wise. The Director General disclosed that the have been an institution reformed at NaFAA, which senior level managers and low level managers can meet together to present their activities of the week and award staff of the week.
