
Suakoko, Bong County – Hon. Curtis V. Dorley, has praised the successful hosting of the 26th Annual Convention of the National Lutheran Women Fellowship, describing the gathering as a transformative platform for service to both the church and society.
The convention, held over the weekend in the historic city of Suakoko at the Bethany Lutheran Parish, brought together women from Lutheran churches and parishes across Liberia under the theme, “Transformed to Serve.”
Speaking following his participation, Hon. Dorley expressed appreciation for the invitation extended by the leadership of the Upper Bong District, which hosted the event. He said the convention serves as a vital reminder of the role of women in strengthening the church, community, and nation.
“I am glad that we are being transformed and prepared to serve our church, country, and the world at large,” he noted.
During the program, Hon. Dorley presented certificates of recognition to several individuals in honor of their dedicated service to the church. He also delivered remarks highlighting the importance of unity, collaboration, and sustained commitment to faith-based development.
Hon. Dorley congratulated the organizers and participants for what he described as a peaceful and successful convention. He reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the leadership of the National Lutheran Women Fellowship, including its president and vice president, to advance the mission of the church.
“We will continue to collaborate and support the work of our church, while empowering women and youth, especially in Bong County,” he added.
He also extended thanks to Bishop Victor Padmore and the leadership of the Lutheran Church of Liberia (LCL) for their guidance and stewardship.
Hon. Dorley concluded by calling for unity among church members and urging continued prayers for Liberia, emphasizing that all achievements remain a testament to God’s grace.
“To God alone be the glory for the great things He is doing in our lives,” he said.
