
Bushrod Island, Monrovia, Liberia – August 31, 2025 – The Office of Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan is proud to announce that the United Fulani Association of Bushrod Island held a special ceremony today to recognize Senator Duncan for his unwavering dedication and remarkable contributions to the Fula community and the people of Liberia at large.
The program, which was initially set for August 10, 2025, was rescheduled due to Senator Duncan’s official travels. It was successfully held today in the presence of elders, youth, and community leaders, where the Senator was officially gowned as a mark of honor.
During the event, the Association commended Senator Duncan for a number of initiatives, including:
Enabling access to business loans for Fula and Liberian entrepreneurs while serving at the Central Bank of Liberia under Governor Dr. J. Mills Jones.
Supporting development efforts in Sinoe County.
Contributing to the construction of an annex for the Fula Mosque in the Poor River community of Sinoe County.
Donating three buses to students in Greenville, among several other initiatives.
Looking ahead, the Association also appealed to the Senator for support in expanding their community school to accommodate more children. They presented a project budget of $14,000 USD for the construction of a new annex.
In response, Senator Duncan pledged $5,000 USD, which he committed to deliver tomorrow, Monday, September 1, 2025. He urged the Association to begin work with the initial funds and assured them of his full support in completing the project once progress is visible.
Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Senator Duncan reaffirmed his dedication to inclusive growth, education, and empowerment. He praised the Association for their commitment to advancing opportunities within the Fula community and beyond.
