Monrovia, Liberia – July 17, 2025 –
The organizers of the “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” protest have issued a 14-day ultimatum to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, demanding swift action on a range of national concerns.
At the forefront of their demands is the immediate dismissal of several top government officials, including Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman, Executive Mansion Press Secretary Patrick Honnah, Deputy Information Minister Mo Ali, National Security Advisor Sylvester Grisby, and LRA Commissioner Mamaka Bility, whom they accuse of abuse of public trust.
Lead protest organizer and former CDC Chairman, Mulbah Morlu, emphasized that if the Boakai administration fails to act within the two-week period, demonstrators will return to the streets in even larger numbers. “This is not a bluff. The people are tired of deception and inaction,” Morlu warned.
The protesters have outlined several pressing issues driving their movement, including:
✓ The delayed asset declaration by public officials
✓ President Boakai’s controversial private jet travel
✓ Increasing police brutality against peaceful citizens
✓ The soaring cost of goods and services
✓ A spike in drug abuse across the country
✓ Widespread corruption within the public sector
They caution that continued silence or inaction from the presidency could spark nationwide unrest with serious political consequences for the Boakai-led government.
The protest, which drew hundreds of demonstrators to the streets of Monrovia on Wednesday, signals growing public dissatisfaction and a demand for greater transparency, accountability, and reforms in national governance.
