The highlight of the meeting centered on the proposed establishment of a Mano River Union (MRU) Legislative Parliamentary Body that would unify the legislative agenda of member states.

During the dialogue, both Speakers underscored the urgency of designing a viable roadmap to deepen collective efforts in regional solidarity and mutual development. Speaker Thomas, expressing appreciation for the visit, assured his Liberian counterpart of Sierra Leone's full support for the proposed MRU legislative initiative. He encouraged Speaker Koon to fast-track efforts to convene a meeting of all Speakers from MRU member states to chart a course for the formal establishment of the parliamentary body.
The diplomatic engagement marks a significant step toward strengthening regional legislative diplomacy and enhancing cooperation among MRU nations.
