Konia Town, Zorzor, Lofa County—Amid growing concerns and fear in Konia Town, Zorzor District, over the mysterious disappearance of a two-year-old boy, a prominent citizen of Lofa County and Secretary in the office of Senator Joseph Jallah, Mr. Kezelee Gayflor, has written the County Attorney of Lofa County, calling for immediate investigation and intervention.
In a formal communication addressed to Cllr. Luther Sumo, the County Attorney, Mr. Gayflor, who is also known for his role as a youth activist, expressed deep concern over the safety of children and vulnerable individuals in the region. He noted that the unexplained disappearance of little Fesseh has created widespread fear, uncertainty, and emotional trauma among residents of Konia and neighboring towns.
According to Mr. Gayflor, the child went missing more than a week ago, yet there has been no official update or significant breakthrough in the case. He described the silence from law enforcement as troubling, warning that it has only heightened the anxiety of the public.
Calling for swift action, Mr. Gayflor urged the Ministry of Justice, through the Office of the County Attorney, to launch a formal investigation. “It is essential that every effort be made to uncover the truth surrounding this tragic incident and bring those responsible to justice. The rule of law must be upheld, and the people of Lofa County must be assured that their government is committed to protecting all citizens, especially our children,” the letter reads.
Mr. Gayflor further recommended that Cllr. Sumo:
1. Coordinate with the Liberia National Police to open an active case.
2. Engage community leaders and local security to gather credible leads.
3. Keep the public regularly updated on the progress of the investigation.
4. Prosecute anyone found responsible according to law.
While the search for little Fesseh continues, Mr. Gayflor reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for justice, closure, and renewed security for the people of Lofa, especially the affected residents of Konia Town.
