The National Youth League (NYL) of the Congress for Democratic Change has suspended with immediate effect Martin Fahn, Secretary General, and Armstrong Marziah, Deputy Secretary General for Administration, Nimba Chapter of the Youth League, amid their recent endorsement of Honorable Samuel Korga.
The Youth League of CDC through its Vice Chair for Operation and Political Education, Alvin Wesseh disclosed that those suspended, openly endorsed the senatorial bid Representative Samuel G. Kogar of Nimba County Senatorial by-election.
“These two comrades, once entrusted with leadership, have now aligned themselves with the regime and openly endorsed Samuel G. Kogar—a handpicked of a corrupt administration that has brought nothing but disease, poverty, and pain to the people of Nimba County. This is not only ideological betrayal; it is a direct affront to the very soul of our movement.” Mr. Alvin Wesseh expressed.
He stated that the suspension of Mr. Fahn and Mr. Marziah is not symbolic, as such it is a clear and irreversible message that will be tolerated and the CDC Youth League does not bend to betrayal.
Mr. Wesseh further disclosed that the National Youth League of the Congress for Democratic Change is deploying members of the CDC Youth League, including legal observers, community mobilizers, and vote defenders throughout Nimba to protect the votes at all costs of the people of Nimba County.
“No village is too small. No ballot box will be left unguarded,” Alvin Wesseh noted.
The CDC Youth League Vice Chair for Operation and Political Education, Mr. Wesseh alleged that the Unity Party has flooded Nimba County with 400 MILLION Liberian Dollars to buy votes, threaten officials, and twist the will of the people of Nimba County.
“We have confirmed that Jeremiah Koung, the Vice President was seen conspiring with electoral magistrates at his Ganta farm to rig the outcome of the election in Kogar’s favor,” Wesseh further alleged.
He urged Nimbains to refuse bribes and reject every lie and intimidation, in standing firm and vote their conscience.
