Monrovia, Liberia — The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has announced a significant increase in prize money for its premier football competitions, beginning with the 2025/2026 National League season.
Under the leadership of President Mustapha I. Raji, the LFA Executive Committee approved a raise for champions of the First Division from USD 20,000 to USD 30,000 (approximately LRD 6 million).
Winners of the Women’s Upper League will also see their prize rise from USD 20,000 to USD 25,000, marking a notable boost in financial rewards for women’s football in the country.
The move is seen as part of the LFA’s continued efforts to promote competitiveness and enhance the development of both men’s and women’s football in Liberia.
