Senator Edwin Melvin Snowe Jr. Donates 50 Bags Of Rice To Flood Victims In Bomi County.

Bomi County, Liberia – Senator Edwin Melvin Snowe Jr. has come to the aid of flood victims in Gbah Jarkeh Town, Bomi County, with the donation of fifty (50) bags of rice. The gesture comes in response to the devastating floods that destroyed 34 houses in the area last month, leaving numerous residents homeless and in urgent need of assistance.

In a statement from his office, Senator Snowe expressed solidarity with the affected families and appealed to the National Disaster Management Team, fellow citizens, and humanitarian organizations to intervene swiftly and provide additional support to the victims. He emphasized the need for a collective effort to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the natural disaster.

The donation was officially handed over by Arthur Gray, the County Coordinator representing the Office of Senator Snowe. During the handover ceremony, Gray commended Senator Snowe for his timely intervention and urged the flood victims to remain hopeful during this challenging period. He also encouraged the leadership of Gbah Township, under Commissioner Philip Pissie, to prioritize reconciliation and community rebuilding efforts.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Gbah Township Mr. Philip Pissie expressed his gratitude to Senator Snowe for his continued support to the community. He further said Senator Snowe donated hug bundles of zincs to a community school in Gbah Township during a similar flood and acknowledged his numerous developmental initiatives in the region.

Furthermore, Town Chief Sylvester Taylor noted that the assistance from Senator Snowe is a testament to his dedication to serving the people of Bomi County. He praised the Senator’s leadership and described him as a true advocate for the well-being of the county’s residents.

Development Chairman Ousman Manoballah ad the same time added that the donation would go a long way in easing the hardships faced by the displaced families. He called on other leaders and organizations to follow Senator Snowe’s example and step up their support for the affected communities.

Additionally, the Youth Chairman Mr. G. Achievable Morris Saygbay also commended the Senator’s efforts, particularly highlighting the importance of his focus on youth development within the county. He mentioned that such interventions not only provide immediate relief but also inspire hope for a better future among the younger generation.
