Monrovia, Liberia – Bomi County Senator Edwin Melvin Snowe Jr. has strongly denied a statement circulating on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Information, which attributes to him what he describes as "inflammatory and irresponsible remarks" aimed at destabilizing the Liberian government.
In a strongly worded reaction issued Sunday, Senator Snowe said he finds the content of the post both unfortunate and deeply troubling. He emphasized that any attempt to link him to such remarks is not only false but also a deliberate attempt to malign his character and undermine his commitment to peace and stability in Liberia.
“While I take steps to verify the authenticity of this publication, I wish to state, in the strongest possible terms, that I categorically reject and condemn any such false and unfounded allegations,” the Senator declared. He further cautioned against the politicization of information that could incite public mistrust or threaten national unity.
The veteran lawmaker concluded by stating that if the statement is proven to be authentic, he will demand a full, independent, and transparent investigation into what he termed "malicious accusations" against his person. Senator Snowe maintained that he remains committed to upholding the tenets of democracy, peace, and responsible leadership.
