Monrovia – The Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), the former ruling party, celebrated Militant Month with a gathering of party officials and partisans at their national headquarters in Monrovia. The event was attended by several prominent figures, including the current Speaker of the 55th Legislature, Hon. J. Fonati Koffa.

Speaker Koffa took to his official Facebook page to share his thoughts on the event, writing: “Amanda! Amanda!! No successful revolution ever bypasses a counter-revolution; the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change is in a period of counter-revolution. We must issue to our partisans the necessary caveat that during this period, UNITY is the most important point of the congress and the party.”Koffa emphasized the importance of unity, stating, “The strength of our party lies right now in our unity and in the ideologues that have brought us here and in the forces that have kept us here. So today, on the day that you have made memorable, you have stolen the show and stolen fair and square. Congratulations! Thank you!”

The celebration also included several members of the opposition, such as the national chairman of the Liberty Party and Nimba County District #7 Representative, Hon. Masa Hassan Bility. This inclusion highlights the CDC’s effort to foster unity and collaboration as they navigate the current political landscape.
