Monrovia – Minister of Youth and Sports, Cllr. Jeror Cole Bangalu, has confirmed that his Deputy for Youth Development, J. Bryant McGill, is facing allegations of raping a 14-year-old girl.
According to Minister Bangalu, the Liberia National Police (LNP) has taken charge of the matter, and an investigation is already underway. He stressed that his administration upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy against sexual abuse and other forms of unethical behavior.
“Yes, we can confirm the case is with the police. Investigation is ongoing. At the Ministry under my watch, there is zero tolerance for unethical behavior, especially sexual misconduct. We are not taking this lightly.” Minister Bangalu told Verity News
There will be administrative action as soon as possible,” Minister Bangalu stated.
The alleged victim is said to be the daughter of the Deputy Chief of Security at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Several audio recordings have surfaced, including one in which the girl’s father recounts how his daughter was sexually abused.
The revelation was first brought to light by Verity News, whose investigation uncovered details of the case and audio evidence pointing to the alleged incident.
