River View Community Elects New Leaders, Chairman Pledges Development…

River View Community in Kpayou Town, Lower Margibi County celebrated the installation of its first elected officials on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Chairman Yallah Kpangbala, elected on May 14, 2024, took office with a promise of community development and strengthened ties with county leadership.
In his inaugural speech, Chairman Kpangbala thanked the election commission, led by Mrs. Kamah Massaquoi, for conducting a peaceful election. He expressed his commitment to transforming River View Community, highlighting its past struggles with poor leadership and underdevelopment.
Kpangbala emphasized the community’s significant role in the recent general elections, supporting Rep. Roland O.P. Cooper and Senator. Nathaniel McGill in their respective victories. He called on these leaders to address the community’s needs, including road rehabilitation, construction of hand pumps, public latrines, and youth empowerment initiatives.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Office Staff within the offices of Senator Nathaniel McGill, Mr. Varmah Bobby Gray, expressed confidence in the newly inducted leadership. He urged them to prioritize humanity, empathy, and integrity, and to foster unity and inclusivity within the community.Mr. Gray reminded the leaders that their roles should be driven by passion and respect, emphasizing the impact of their decisions on the community. He challenged them to remain courageous and dedicated to their responsibilities.
At the same time, Community residents, including Emmanuel Joe and Adorphus Nah, expressed hope and confidence in the new leadership. Joe criticized the previous leadership for its ineffectiveness, while Nah praised Kpangbala’s commitment and vision, anticipating significant developments by September or October.
Additionally, Robert Keddieh the head of “Block C”, shared optimism about the new administration’s ability to meet basic community needs within the first three months. He called for divine support to ensure peace and security as the new leaders undertake their duties.
The installation ceremony was a moment of hope and anticipation for the River View Community, as residents look forward to a period of growth and development under their new leaders.
